We are pleased to announce that the applications of 2026 Taiwan Government Scholarship Programs opened on February 1.
To support international students at different stages of their academic and professional development, the Government of Taiwan offers three major scholarship programs, administered by the Ministry of Education (MOE) and the Taiwan International Cooperation and Development Fund (TaiwanICDF).
Below are the key details of each scholarship program:
Online Application Period: 01/02/2026 - 30/04/2026
The MOE Taiwan Scholarship Program provides recipients with a tuition and miscellaneous expenses allowance of TWD40,000 each semester. Furthermore, undergraduate recipients benefit from a monthly stipend of TWD15,000, whereas postgraduate recipients receive TWD20,000 per month.
Online Application Period: 01/02/2026- 31/03/2026
The MOE Huayu Enrichment Scholarship (HES) Program is an excellent opportunity for Mandarin language learners to study at a university-affiliated language center in Taiwan. Scholarship recipients will receive a monthly stipend of TWD28,000 during their studies. This scholarship can be applied to a two-month summer course offered either from June to July or from July to August 2026, as well as to three- or six-month programs beginning on September 1, 2026.

Online Application Period : 01/12/2026- 15/03/2026
The TaiwanICDF Scholarship Program is open for applications for Malaysians for English-taught Master's and Doctoral degrees at 18 universities in Taiwan, starting September 2026.
This fully funded scholarship includes return airfare, housing, tuition, insurance, textbooks, and a monthly allowance of TWD18,000 for Master's programs, or TWD20,000 for Ph.D. programs. There are 29 programs available, each with specific deadlines.
